I'm a student at Sheffield Hallam currently in my final year looking for: internships, junior designer roles and freelance work. I’m a growing designer. This means I learn lessons from my design work and others around
me to create work that is smart, strong and stands out in the industry. I am also outgoing and try to get into the mind of the person I am designing for to deliver the best results.
WPA Pinfold (Leeds)
I have completed a couple of placements here lasting between 4 weeks and 8 weeks, having been asked back after my first placement. Where I have worked in the branding team helping with different companies’ identities like: Sherpa, Arriva and Body Sculpture. I also sat in on meetings and went to photoshoots to help art direct, and worked closely with designers working in the industry for years and some that have just come out of university.
The Cafeteria (Sheffield)
This was a 2 week placement at the studio where I was given the task of working on branding routes, for Sheffield Hallam’s value range. I created two routes that would be presented to the client. The first being honest
like the Hans Brinker, who use humour to explain the hotel is basic but cheap. The second was the idea it’s simple, so the visual language was simple with icons explaining the meal deal.
Front Ideas (Sheffield)
A Sheffield based creative agency, I worked on a campaign project for Ring and designed a route for a brand called the Lakes Eggs. Both projects I had one week to flesh out to present back to my mentor. We then worked on concept development. They took one of my ideas to develop into a route to show the client.
